Spatial Information Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Structural Engineering, Urban Design and Planning, Water Resources Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Spatial Information Engineering is the field of managing and interpreting spatial information. With the recent development of GPS (Global Positioning System), which uses satellites to determine locations, the collection, processing, and analysis of more accurate three-dimensional spatial information have become increasingly important. Transportation engineering and planning is a field of study that encompasses efficient transportation systems for land, sea, and air transportation. Transportation is an important factor in national development, so effective transportation systems are becoming increasingly important. Structural engineering is a field of study that focuses on the structural design and analysis of social infrastructure such as bridges, dams, and power plants, with the goal of constructing structures that are both stable and economical. Urban design and planning pursue more efficient use of national land space and study methods to solve various regional problems. Hydraulic engineering conducts research to solve various water resource problems and observes and predicts the behavior of fluids and water. Geotechnical and environmental engineering is a field that studies the analysis and design of geotechnical structures, which form the foundation of all structures, as well as environmental pollution issues related to the geotechnical environment. Environmental engineering approaches the environment with a new awareness that has been neglected as humanity has continued to develop. It is a field that focuses on preventing environmental pollution and purifying the environment for a more comfortable living environment and future generations. Although the Department of Construction and Environmental Engineering is a single department, it is subdivided into these diverse fields of study. This diversity broadens the career paths available to students, which is an advantage of the Department of Construction and Environmental Engineering.
In recent years, the world has seen a rapid increase in demand for infrastructure due to rapid urbanization and population growth. This phenomenon is particularly pronounced in developing countries, where construction of new roads, bridges, airports, railways, and other infrastructure is actively underway. The Department of Construction and Environmental Engineering is contributing to the construction of sustainable infrastructure through new technology development and research in line with these global trends. This is not simply aimed at economic growth, but also at environmental protection and resource conservation.

Although some cutting-edge technology is used, the department mainly relies on established theories and knowledge from the past. While some may view this as an outdated or traditional field of study, this very aspect is what makes the Department of Construction and Environmental Engineering so appealing. In a modern society where cutting-edge technologies are constantly being developed, the department is like a craftsman who quietly and reliably performs their duties using time-tested methods. Though it may seem as though this field is lagging behind the times, it is actually preparing for the future with unwavering dedication and caution.
